Since 1970, EECM has been a cornerstone in East Liberty for community members looking to improve their circumstances across the lifespan. The organization is home to a food pantry, homeless shelter, summer camp and classes for kids, and almost anything to help you get back on your feet, or just relax and learn something new. A collection of 18 local faith communities moving into a new building, EECM was looking to rebrand to better showcase the strong emotional connections it has with the community through visual identity. To celebrate their new home, EECM was ready to unveil a new look and sought Shift’s help to match their look to their mission.
With such a rich community history to build from, Shift wanted to show EECM’s vision for the future with a new logo, fresh website, and clean design for their annual report. Shades and tones of purple represent the spiritual background that built the organization. It also captures the wisdom and devotion the organization has to its community, striving to provide dignity, peace and pride to its East End neighbors.
Shift’s work with EECM helped them to herald in a new era of their existence. The brightly designed annual report helps readers quickly pull out important information from the variety of graphics used, while staying within a color palette of rich purples. Did we mention it’s only three pages? No long-winded reading here, even though the organization is over forty years old. The website is also designed to be concise and responsive. Viewers can see a timeline of EECM’s history and the services they offer today. Respecting EECM’s diverse stakeholders, viewers can also change the size of the website text for easier reading.
