Designing a marquee publication
The State of Downtown Pittsburgh report is designed for the general public and includes detailed narrative and economic indicators in a year-in-review format that draws comparisons to peer Central Business Districts across the country. How to make this report easily digestible and interesting given the preponderance of data and charts?
We built core brand assets, brightened and lightened the color palette while exercising fidelity to the organization’s style guide. The liberal use of custom-created infographics and creative inclusion of client-supplied artwork helped to make this important publication more accessible and use.
Released at a packed public and media event — for which we also created branded signage and a PowerPoint presentation — the most recent State of Downtown Report was perceived as lively, interesting, and engaging as Downtown Pittsburgh itself.
