The Next 90 Years
As the World Affairs Council of America celebrated its 90th year, the Pittsburgh chapter undertook a refresh of its brand and its mission. After reflecting on its legacy and creating a vision for its future, the Council developed a 3-year strategic plan to guide its vision and realize the new visual branding.
Strategic Design for a Strategic Plan
The Council came to Shift with this new vision and asked us to showcase their new brand by designing print and digital versions of their strategic plan.
Their new branding centers around their circular logo. Playing off the bright colors and dots of their branding allowed us to create a cheerful, positive, and inspirational design that reflects their mission and vision.
This client has a library of great photography from their many events, which provided us with a lot of opportunities to use images that directly relate to the organization. This enabled us to use striking, personalized images that reinforced their branding rather than having to rely on stock photography.
Showcasing Information for Various Audiences
The Council wanted to be able to distribute specific content from the strategic plan in a variety of ways, including single-page handouts highlighting high-priority content, like their Theory of Change.
