Our friends at Lunametrics are offering a one-day SEO workshop this week, and there’s still time to sign up.
Want your site to show up at the top of Google but don’t want to spend a fortune to get it done? Here’s something most SEO consultation companies won’t tell you: You can do it yourself.
The workshop will be on June 23 from 8am to 5:30pm, at Left Field Meeting Space in Pittsburgh (across the street from PNC Park).
I tell people they can do SEO themselves all the time — they just don’t have the time or technical know-how to do it! Not only that, but most small business owners don’t fully understand how powerful SEO can be, and they have a ton of questions about how it works and whether it’s worth their time/money. There’s a big leap of faith there! I’m sure seminars like this one educate people on how important SEO is, but to claim you can do it yourself — well, be willing to put in a LOT of time and effort and making it your full-time job, because it’s just not that easy.
Good thoughts, Jami. The people at Lunametrics are smart and friendly folks, and not out to trick anyone, nor to make light of the good work that an SEO firm like yours can do.
While many business owners don’t have the time or resources to handle their own SEO, some do. And some just want to learn more about it, so they can make informed choices when working with an outside firm. A workshop like this one — or like the one you’re offering this week on search and social marketing — is a great way for a business owner to gain understanding of the value of SEO and of spending time and resources on the company website.
