Nick Verbene, recently graduated graphic designer from La Roche College and current SH/FT Design Fellow, has two of his logo designs selected for submission into the industry-recognized publication Logo Lounge Volume 8. At age 22 and just entering the field of design, this accomplishment further strengthens the incredible career on the horizon for Nick.
Before starting with SH/FT, Nick was a former student of SH/FT Partner + Creative Strategist RJ Thompson at La Roche College and for the past three years Nick has also been RJ’s graphic design intern with Zola Design. While at Zola, Nick was tasked with a variety of projects – be it print collateral such as tri-fold brochures or corporate identity pieces like businesses cards and letterhead, or even help brand companies – he brought his best creative game to the table.
The judging for LogoLounge Volume 8 included, Mikey Burton of Mikey Burton Design & Illustration, Quique Ollervides of OLLERVIDES, Katie Kirk of Eight Hour Day, Fraser Davidson of Sweet Crude, Debbie Millman of Sterling Brands, Ty Mattson of Mattson Creative, Mike Abbink of Wolff Olins, and Simon Frouws of Simon Frouws. Over 35,000 logos entered for consideration into the publication.
Nick’s 2 logos were selected out of 35,000. His logos are seen above.
Logo Lounge Volume 8 does not have a release date yet – but we will keep you informed when it does. In the meantime, check out these books from Logo Lounge that feature selected works from RJ Thompson, who has had considerable success with Logo Lounge in the past.
